Itinerary - 6 Night Deluxe Holiday By Air

Dresden - Day 1-3

Fly with British Airways from London to Berlin Airport. On arrival in Berlin travel by train to Dresden (approximate journey time 3 hours). On arrival in Dresden check in at the Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden.

The Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden is an historic hotel origninally built by "August the Strong" in 1705 and restored to its former glory in 1995. The hotel is located in the heart of Dresden.

Leipzig - Day 3-5

Depart Dresden for the 1 hour 40 minute journey by train (in First Class) to Leipzig, where you will stay at the Pentahotel Leipzig.

The Pentahotel Leipzig is a contemporary hotel with a restaurant and bar, and a swimming pool and sauna. The Pentahotel Leipzig is located on Grosser Brockhaus right in the heart of the city, close to some of Leipzig's finest museums.

Berlin - Day 5-6

Travel by train in First Class from Leipzig to Berlin (1 hour 15 minutes journey) to check in at the Adlon Kempinski Hotel.

The Adlon Kempinski Hotel is a historic hotel, with two restaurants. Relax in the Adlon Spa which offers a pool, fitness, and wellness areas. The hotel is in the centre of Berlin next to the Brandenburg Gate on Pariser Platz. This hotel is located between the Kurfurstendamm and the Brandenburg Gate with easy transport links to the main train station.

Day 6, take a train (30 minutes) to nearby Potsdam for a day trip exploring this beautiful city including the huge UNESCO World Heritage Site - Park Sanssouci with its landscaped gardens and stunning palaces. In 1945 the Potsdam Conference took place at which Germany was divided between into East and West (leading eventually to the construction of the Berlin Wall).

Leipzig was instrumental in the fall of the Berlin Wall - the city held mass protests against the East German regime. Leipzig is now a lively university city, famous for Europe's oldest coffee house, and a beautiful renaissance City Hall.

Potsdam

Potsdam is 30 minutes from Berlin by train. Potsdam includes a huge UNESCO World Heritage Site - Park Sanssouci with its landscaped gardens and stunning palaces. In 1945 the Potsdam Conference took place at which Germany was divided between into East and West (leading eventually to the construction of the Berlin Wall).

Day 7 - Berlin to London

Day 7, take the train from Berlin to Brussels, via Cologne (approximately 8 hours). From Brussels take Eurostar back to the UK.
